Iowa State is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put a hurting on Jackson State to the tune of 100-58 on Sunday. The Cyclones have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 26 points or more this season.
Iowa State’s win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dishon Jackson, who posted 17 points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Milan Momcilovic, who went 6 for 10 en route to 18 points.

Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Iowa State hasn’t had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 87.8 points per game. However, it’s not like Iowa struggles in that department as they’ve been averaging 86.1. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Everything went Iowa State’s way against Iowa when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as Iowa State made off with a 90-65 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Iowa State since the squad won’t have the home-court advantage this time around. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
