It’s officially spooky season! If you’re celebrating (we are!), then you’re going to want these Halloween worksheets. We have some that will fit great into your ELA (Halloween vocabulary, acrostic poems, and writing paper) or math (mystery pictures for basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division as well as coordinate grids) block. Others make great “may do” activities for early finishers (think: word searches and secret codes). This bundle has a little something for everyone!
What’s in the Halloween worksheet bundle?
Halloween Bingo
You’ll want to make a copy of the board and the vocabulary squares for every student. They’ll be cutting the squares out and gluing them on the board in any arrangement they want. Don’t forget to cut an extra set of vocabulary squares for yourself. Mix them up and there’s your draw pile. Play five in a row to win or black out! We like this activity for a break from Halloween party chaos.
Halloween Word Scramble
We took 20 Halloween words and mixed them up for students to unscramble. Don’t worry—we included an answer key!
Halloween Crossword
Clue: “A vampire turns into this flying mammal.” Answer: BAT!
Halloween ABC Order
Put 10 Halloween words in alphabetical order. We included one set of words that requires students to go all the way to the third letter.
Halloween Make-a-Word
How many words can you make from the word “Halloween”?
Halloween Vocabulary
This is a cloze activity. Read the sentences and fill in the blank with the Halloween word that fits best (yes, there’s a word bank!).
Halloween Acrostic Poem
Write a poem using the letters in the word “Halloween.” Each line starts with a different letter.
Halloween Math Mystery Pictures
We did four of these for you, so you can select based on what’s most appropriate for your grade or students’ individual practice needs: basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Solve all the problems and then use the key to reveal the Halloween mystery picture.
Halloween Coordinate Grid Mystery Picture
Teach coordinate grids for math or geography (map reading!). Use the given coordinates to color in the squares and reveal a Halloween picture.
