According to The Ammons Law Firm, The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a recall for approximately 10,300 Onasti toddler stools after reports that the stools can collapse or tip over while in use, posing a serious fall and injury hazard to children. According to the recall notice, at least four incidents have been reported, including two injuries—one resulting in bruising and another in a brain injury to a toddler.

What parents need to know
The recalled stools were sold exclusively on Amazon between March 2024 and December 2024 for between $72 and $90. These plastic, foldable, triangular-shaped stools came in beige/white, blue/gray, green, gray/white, light blue, and pink. The stools are designed with handles and an adjustable platform that can be raised or lowered from two to three steps. If you have one at home, check for the Onasti logo on the warning label on the side of the stool.
